Great Sea of the West
The immense ocean to the west of Middle-earth
Belegaer, the mighty ocean that lay off the western coasts of Middle-earth. Far across the Sea to the west lay Aman, the Undying Lands, and in the midst of this ocean was set Númenor during the Second Age.
