Cape of Forochel

The home of the Lossoth

The broad and remote cape that came down from the north to close the Icebay of Forochel from the Great Sea. The cape is not shown on the maps that accompany The Lord of the Rings: it lay to the north of the region shown there, and was some three hundred miles in length. It was the main home of the snow-people known as the Lossoth, who lived along the cape protected from their enemies by the cold waters of the Icebay.
