Precession
Gravitational effects, especially from the Sun and the Moon, on the Earth have an effect that gradually shifts the Celestial Sphere relative to the sky. Precession is a very subtle effect - the Celestial Poles move about one degree in seventy years, and take more than 25,000 years to complete a full Precession Circle.
