A rapidly rotating bluestar, Gomeisa is a Be class star, possessing a disc of material extending out from the star itself for some 1.5 times Gomeisa's diameter. Gomeisa is also a pulsating variablestar, showing marginal shifts in magnitude several times each day.
The galactic position and direction of Gomeisa relative to Earth'sSun. Note that, at this
extreme scale, the two stars are effectively in the same place.
