Isembold Took

The fifth child of the Old Took

The fifth son of the Old Took, Thain Gerontius, and Adamanta Chubb, Isembold lived during the late twenty-ninth and early thirtieth centuries of the Third Age. We know only the barest facts about Isembold and his life, but it is established that his line was continued by many descendants. He died in the year III 2946 (1346 by the Shire-reckoning), just four years after Bilbo Baggins' return to the Shire from the Quest of Erebor.
