NotesThis open cluster lies against the densely starred background of the Milky Way as it passes through the northern parts of Lacerta. The cluster itself is marginally too faint to be seen with the naked eye, and the nearest naked-eye star is blue 4 Lacertae, some 1.5° to the cluster's east.

Imagery provided by Aladin sky atlas

An open star cluster in Lacerta, about 2,800 light years from Earth. It appears to be a fairly young cluster in stellar terms, probably little more than a hundred million years old, and consists of hot blue and white stars.
