The stars of the clusterCollinder 367 shine out through the gases of the emission nebulaIC 4685 in western Sagittarius. The dark shape stencilled out of the scene is Barnard 302, a shadowy strand of material lying between Earth and Collinder 367, and so partially obscuring the cluster and the bright nebula beyond.).
