NotesOnly limited data is available for Collinder 110A as a cluster distinct from Collinder 110. In particular, separate values for the lesser cluster's apparent magnitude and angular size are not recorded. The figures given above are derived from the main cluster Collinder 110 (with the absolute magnitude and actual diameter recalculated based on the rather smaller distance to Collinder 110A).

The more prominent cluster in the northwest (upper right) quadrant of this image is the main Collinder 110 open cluster, a little over seven thousand light years from the Sun. The marked area to the southeast of that distant cluster is Collinder 110A, a rather less distinctive grouping of stars which is unrelated to the main Collinder 110 cluster at a distance of some 1,500 light years.
