Montes Haemus
The Haemus Mountains
Originally the Latin name for a part of the Balkan range on Earth, the Haemus Mountains were transferred to the Moon by Hevelius. They define the southwestern 'shore' of the Sea of Serenity, and at their northern end, they meet the much taller and more impressive range of the Appenine Mountains.
