NotesThis star also carries the variable designation of YY Piscium. Its brightness can change by up to a tenth of a magnitude, but being a semiregular variable the period of this change is itself variable, from as little as 23 days to as many as 168.

30 Piscium lies in far south of Pisces, almost on that constellation's border with Cetus. It is a distant red giant star, more than 400 light years from the Solar System, that shines with a variable magnitude.
