South-victorThe meaning of the name HyarmendacilThe translated meaning of the Gondorian King-name Hyarmendacil. It was taken by two of Gondor's Kings to commemorate great victories over their southern enemies. Hyarmendacil I defeated the Haradrim in the twelfth century of the Third Age, while Hyarmendacil II claimed the same title some five hundred years later.
