NotesActually the fifth brightest star in Ophiuchus despite its 'Beta' designation, this orange giant is some fourteen times the Sun's diameter, but its outer shell is extremely tenuous in nature. There are indications that Cebalrai may possess at least one planet, though this remains to be confirmed.

Eighty-two light years from Earth, inward across the Galactic disc of the Milky Way, lies the orange star Cebalrai.
