NotesOrange HR 1867 lies in the southern parts of Dorado, somewhat to the northward of the Large Magellanic Cloud. Nearby in the sky (about a half a degree from HR 1867) is the much brighter star Beta Doradus. In fact HR 1867 is the closer of these two stars, but the more distant supergiant Beta Doradus nonetheless appears brighter in Earth's sky.
