However, the cluster's integrated absolute magnitude (its estimated brightness if it lay ten parsecs from the Sun) has been calculated as approximately -3.7. From that value, and given the cluster's estimated distance, we can derive a composite visual magnitude of +7.61 (though note that this is no more than a representative and approximate value).
