Collinder 65 is a broad open cluster extending over a region of sky nearly four degrees across, but its stars are sparse and widely scattered. The central star of this image is 113 Tauri, a member of the cluster, but the other brighter stars seen here lie at various distances in the foreground, and are unconnected to the open cluster beyond.
