NotesC37, the 20 Vulpeculae Cluster, is one of a pair of clusters in Vulpecula that appear so close together in the sky that the stars at their edges apparently merge with one another. The other member of the pair is NGC 6882, a fainter and less extensive group of stars to the north of C37.

The bright central star in this image is 20 Vulpeculae, from which the cluster takes its common name. In fact 20 Vulpeculae is not a member of the cluster, but a star on a direct line of sight from Earth that is considerably closer to the Sun than the open cluster beyond.
