Outer Arm
Parallax Second
One of the two major spiral arms of our own Milky Way Galaxy, the other being the Sagittarius Arm. The Outer Arm emerges from the Galactic Nucleus on the opposite side to our Solar System, and arcs around the Galaxy in an almost complete semi-circle. It comes to an end about 20,000 light years from the Sun, in the direction of the constellation Cygnus.
