Brown Dwarf
Sometimes referred to as a 'failed star', a body that forms in the same way as a true star, but fails to attain enough mass to trigger nuclear fusion in its core. Though brown dwarfs generate some energy, they demonstrate a chemistry that is closer to that of massive planets than true stars.
