A small periodic comet discovered by Heinrich Olbers in 1815. It has a highly eccentric orbit that carries it out as far as the orbit of Neptune before returning to the inner Solar System. The comet was last seen from Earth in the year 1956, and has since nearly completed its seventy-year orbit and is nearing the Sun, with its closest approach due on 30 June 2024.
