Hugo Boffin

The husband of Donnamira Took

One of the Boffins of the Yale, who married into the family of the Thains when he wedded Donnamira, one of the daughters of Gerontius the Old Took. The descendants of Hugo and Donnamira are not shown in the Appendices to The Lord of the Rings, but according to volume XII of The History of Middle-earth, Hugo was the great-grandfather of Frodo's friend Folco Boffin, and also an ancestor of Fredegar Bolger.
