NotesZhang is a yellow giant star some 17 times the Sun's diameter, known to have a brown dwarf, Upsilon1 Hydrae b, in orbit around it. The name Zhang derives from the name of this star in Chinese tradition, in full Zhāng Xiù Yī, the 'first (star) of the Extended Net' (the Extended Net being a Chinese asterism within Hydra).
