NotesThough designated Beta Delphini, Rotanev is in fact marginally brighter than the Alpha star of Delphinus, otherwise named Sualocin. The Beta Delphini system consists of two bright yellow F-type stars, one a giant and the other a less massive subgiant. Formally the name Rotanev is given to the more massive member of this binary pair, the giant Beta Delphini A.
