NotesHR 999 or HD 20644 is fourth-magnitude star in the northeastern parts of the constellation Aries. The primary star is an evolved orange giant, whose spectrum shows relatively high levels of barium in its atmosphere. This unusual chemistry may imply the existence of an otherwise undetected white dwarf companion as a source for the high metallicity of the giant star.
