The stars around Gamma Trianguli in the sky are actually widely separated in space. To the north is Delta Trianguli, a Sun-like star much closer to the Solar System than Gamma, though far less luminous. To the south, 7 Trianguli is a white main sequence star like Gamma, but lies nearly three times farther away. Imagery provided by Aladin sky atlas
