NotesThough only third magnitude, Beta Trianguli is nonetheless the brightest star of Triangulum, appearing marginally brighter in the sky than the Alpha star, Mothallah. It is a spectroscopic binary, with a very close companion star orbiting at a distance of just 5 AU (comparable with the orbit of Jupiter around the Sun) over a period of some 31 days.
