The star to the immediate northwest of Adhafera is 35 Leonis. Though it appears much fainter, 35 Leonis is in fact considerably closer to the Solar System, but it is also much less intrinsically luminous than the more distant Adhafera. Imagery provided by Aladin sky atlas
