Show on Sky Map
Of the three stars that make up the Kids, each has its own distinctive colour. The northern star Almaaz is a whitish-yellow F-type supergiant, much more distant than the other two stars. Saclateni or Hoedus I, the southwestern star, is orange in colour, while Haedus or Hoedus II in the southeast has a pale blue colouration. Imagery provided by Aladin sky atlas
