A name for the grey steel helm given by Fingon to his vassal Hador, and borne by Hador and his descendants down to Túrin's time. The helm was originally of Dwarf-make, and indeed was created for Azaghâl of Belegost, and was fitted with a protective visor following the custom of the Dwarves. It tooks its name from the golden head of Glaurung mounted on its crest.
