Troll-men

Great enemies out of Far Harad

The name given to a group of powerful warriors from the distant southern land of Far Harad. These Haradrim are also referred to as being like half-trolls, but it remains unclear whether or not they were literally had Troll ancestry. While that possibility remains open, it seems at least as likely that they were simply ordinary Men, but gigantic and daunting enough to be compared with Trolls.

Whatever their origins, the troll-men fought alongside the Variags of Khand and the Orcs of Mordor in the Battle of the Pelennor. They were defeated when they found themselves trapped between the forces of Imrahil and Éomer.
