The youngest child of Gundolpho Bolger and Alfrida of the Yale, Gundahad's elder brothers were Gundahar and Rudolph. Gundahad had a son of his own, Gundabald, who married Salvia Brandybuck. Through Gundabald and Salvia, Gundahad was the ancestor of a line that lasted at least four generations.
