NotesUrodelus is an eclipsing binary, whose brightness dips twice over a period of approximately 39.5 days. The primary giant star has a hot main sequence companion that completes an orbit over this period, and that orbit is aligned so that it intersects with the primary, as seen from Earth. When the two stars eclipse one another, twice per orbit of the companion, the magnitude of the entire system is briefly reduced, and reaches +4.23 at its minimum.
