One of two third-magnitudebluestars lying to either side of Antares in the sky, each of which traditionally bore the same name, Alniyat or Al Niyat. To resolve this somewhat confusing situation, the IAU has officially given this star its traditional Hawaiian name Paikauhale, while Alniyat is reserved for Sigma Scorpii on the opposite, western side of Antares.
