NotesOn either side of the bright red star Antares lie two blue stars, Sigma and Tau Scorpii, that both traditionally carried the name Alniyat (though Tau Scorpii is now formally named Paikauhale). Sigma Scorpii lies to the northwest of Antares in the sky, and consists of a blue giant star in the heart of a nebulous region, with at least three dwarf stars in orbit around it.
