NotesThe central star of the Sarin system is often categorised as a single white subgiant, but in fact this is a composite classification, and more recent analysis suggests that in fact the core of the system may consist of a pair of dwarf stars in a very close mutual orbit.

A system of stars a little over seventy-five light years from the Solar System, in the core of the constellation Hercules. The heart of the Sarin system appears to consist of a close binary pair, with at least one outer companion star, and possibly several others. Sarin was imagined as representing the shoulder of the hero Hercules represented by its home constellation.
