Notes	Falling near the bright star Altair in the sky, Libertas (or Xi Aquilae) is an evolved star that has undergone expansion into its red giant phase. It has a single known planet, named Fortitudo, which is an immense gas giant estimated to be nearly three times as massive as Jupiter, but in a much closer orbit around its star.

The brilliant foreground star to the northwest in this image is Altair or Alpha Aquilae, actually a rather less luminous star than giant Libertas, but less than a tenth of its distance from the Solar System. Imagery provided by Aladin sky atlas
