Guarded the mouth of Imlad Morgul and the entrance to Cirith Ungol, passes leading through Ephel Dúath into Mordor

The Dead City, Minas Morgul; the Tower had formerly been known as Minas Ithil, variously translated as Moontower, Tower of the Moon or Tower of the Rising Moon
