The Mound of the Elf-maid; the grave of Finduilas of Nargothrond that stood near the Crossings of Teiglin on the western borders of the Forest of Brethil.

Though the geography of this region is generally well established, we are not told exactly where the mound of Haudh-en-Elleth was situated and, indeed, the only specific comment we have regarding its location is that it stood close to the Crossings of Teiglin. A further clue comes from the fact that, when Niënor came to Brethil, she passed the Crossings before coming across the mound. We can deduce from this that Haudh-en-Elleth must have been made on the eastern side of Teiglin and relatively close to the Crossings, but it is not possible to place it any more exactly.
