Great Tower

A name used in Mordor for the Barad-dûr

To the enemies of Sauron, his immense tower in the land of Mordor was typically referred to as the Dark Tower, or Barad-dûr in Elvish. Within Mordor itself, it had other names. Among the Orcs it was Lugbúrz (which seems to be a Black Speech version of 'Dark Tower'), while at least some of those who spoke the Common Tongue preferred to call it the 'Great Tower'. This name was used, at least, by the Mouth of Sauron as he negotiated with the Captains of the West outside the Black Gate, as the War of the Ring drew to a close and the Great Tower itself approached its destruction.
