Tau Ceti
52 Ceti
A small yellow star with a distant binary companion. Tau Ceti has a spectrum very close to that of the Earth's own Sun. At a little under 12 light years away, this is the nearest Sun-like (G-type) star to the Solar System, after Alpha Centauri.
