Rho Andromedae
27 Andromedae

A luminous yellow-white star in the central regions of Andromeda. It appears relatively close to the Andromeda Galaxy, as seen from Earth, though in fact the galaxy is much further away that Rho Andromedae, or any other stars in the constellation. It lies some 160 light years (or 50 parsecs) from the Solar System.
