70 Virginis is a yellow dwarf star similar in its physical properties to our own Sun. It has a distant binary companion and is one of the small but expanding number of stars known to possess a planetary system. This seems to consist of a single gigantic planet with almost seven times the mass of Jupiter, known colloquially as 'Goldilocks'.
