Yavannamírë

A tree out of the West

The western coastlands of Númenor, around the haven of Eldalondë, were known as Nísimaldar, and were filled with fragrant trees brought out of the West by the Elves. Among these was one named Yavannamírë, 'Jewel of Yavanna', that took its name from its round fruit, bright red in colour.
