Nobottle

A village of the northwestern Shire

A small village that lay in the Shire's Westfarthing, but far to the north of the East Road. It was reached by a road that ran from Waymeet, many miles to the southeast. Nobottle lay in a sparsely populated area of the Shire, with the only nearby settlement being Needlehole to the east.

The name Nobottle comes from the Old English for 'new building'. The same Old English element botl, 'building', also appears in Hardbottle, the hometown of the Bracegirdle family.
