Moors of the Nibin-noeg

Lost lands of the Petty-dwarves

Map of the Moors of the Nibin-noeg

Between Narog and Sirion, north of the Andram, was a wide flat land that would become known as Talath Dirnen, the Guarded Plain of Nargothrond. In the years before Finrod settled in Nargothrond, though, these lands were roamed by the stunted people known as the Petty-dwarves. In the northeastern part of the plain, the lands rose to became highland and moor, and this area - the land around Amon Rûdh - was known as the Moors of the Nibin-noeg (an Elvish name for the Petty-dwarves).
