A Man of Númenor during the first millennium of that land's history, Hatholdir was descended from the House of Hador. He was a close friend of Meneldur (who later became King Tar-Meneldur), and his son Orchaldor married into the royal family when he wedded Meneldur's daughter Ailinel.
