UtumnoThe original stronghold of MelkorAlso called Udûn (for example in Gandalf's words on the Bridge of Khazad-dûm), Utumno was the ancient northern fortress of Melkor, delved in the time of the Lamps of the Valar. It was reduced to ruins when the Valar made war on him at the time of the awakening of the Elves.
